How do I know if my computer has a network port?

The port looks like a standard American phone jack, only slightly wider. Most computers have a standard American phone jack for the modem, this port is not interchangeable. You need to have a different port that’s a bit wider than that.

What do I do if I don’t have a network port? Can I still connect to the internet?

With a standard wired router, you cannot connect your computer to the internet without a network port. You need to buy a Network card. For a Desktop computer, you need a PC network card ("Cartees Reshet"). For a Laptop computer, you need a PCMCIA card (network or Ethernet card) To purchase a network or PC card,  click here. With a wireless router you can connect to the internet without using any ports.
